Australian Bullwhip: 6 foot
(1.8m) 12 plait roo hide bullwhip in black, with traditional
double plaited belly and redhide fall. A neatly finished,
durable whip from a female whip maker with two decades of
whip making experience behind. Light enough to for prolonged
training sessions and repetitive target work, dense enough
for easy cracking, with a tight 8 plait point that gives
the best compromise between durability and
handling. A great work or training whip, or the first whip
in your collect.
I generally recommend a six foot
bullwhip for beginners: they make great general purpose
whips enabling you to become a precise target cutter
and to learn a wide range of tricks and routines. Not so
long that they are difficult for the novice to
crack, or so short that every technique feels hurried. Most
sport whip cracker, even when they have built up a
collection, come back to their six footers as the best
all-rounders.
This whip comes with basic notes on care
and maintenance, instructions for a couple of basic throws,
spare crackers and instructions for fitting them.
I will shortly be closing my business,
other than to complete outstanding orders. This is almost

NOTE: A bullwhip is
measured from the butt of the handle to the end of the
plaiting. In addition to that, there is the fall (the
unplaited strip of leather at the end) and the
cracker. These add about 2.5 feet to the total length of the
whip but, because they vary over time, are not
included in the measurement. So this whip will have a
total reach of around 8.5 feet.
