In the same way that I'm fussy about the whips I offer
from other whip makers, I'm fussy about the instructional videos I offer: there's some pretty poor stuff out there! The ones listed below
are excellent: concise, clearly presented and filmed in a way that allows
you to see exactly what's going on.

Clear and
concise video covering the basic cracks, through to quite
advanced techniques. Mr. Murphy uses stock whips
throughout, and some of the more advanced stuff is
arguably easier with them than with bull whips, but bull
and snake whip owners should be able to adapt the
techniques pretty easily.
In my view, this is the instructional video for
developing good technique with whips over 4 feet long, and will take you much further
than others available. Even if your interest doesn't lie
in Australian style sport cracking, with the development
of routines and the use of whips in either hand (or both
hands), the basic techniques shown will stand you in good stead
for being an adaptable and creative target cracker.
If you are
interested in Australian style whip cracking, this is a ready-made
training programme that will take you from absolute beginner
through to an experienced whip handler.
You won't
find information on target cutting here, or tricks; but
other than that most UK whip crackers will find this film to be invaluable.
