The Skorpian: Exclusive to English Whips. Along with my bullwhips, this is my 'signature' whip. Very loosely based on descriptions of ancient Roman flails, it's a refined, distinctive whip that will find a special place in your collection.

Roo hide is used throughout. A fine 12 plait hand part with fancy knotwork is braided onto a cane stock. The short flexible thong has 3 plaited layers and a roo hide bolster. Eight braided lashes are finished with crown-and-diamond knots and long tassles. This enables the owner to trim them to taste. Decorative knots cover and protect the whip at every transition.

Around 150 feet of fine kangaroo hide lace goes into this flail, which measures around 3.5 feet in total length. Extremely accurate, it can be thrown like a single tail or swung like a flogger. The flexible keeper connection provides a wide range of techniques and allows for very fast repetitive 'delivery'.

The possibilities are manifold, and you can use this flail in spaces that would be difficult with a similar length flogger or single tail. With practice, a wide range of sensations are possible: from fairly mild to very severe; and you may well find this flail replacing some other items in your toy bag.

The Yasp: another exclusive English Whips design. One of the first whips I designed, the Yasp was the predecessor to the Skorpian. The originals were all cowhide (the very first one still lives in our toy bag and gets regular use) but, as good quality cowhide for whip making has become increasingly difficult to find, I have moved over to roo. This has allowed me to refine the design somewhat, to give a finer look and more positive action in use. The result is a wonderful little whip that is sure to become a favourite item in your toy bag. 

18-20 narrow, greased, roo hide tails extend from a very short 10 or 12 plait thong. The flexible connection to the handle allows very fast, repetitive delivery with a minimum of effort. Very accurate, but not as severe as the Skorpian, it can be swung like a flogger, spun; or thrown like a whip.

As with the skorpian, the tails are integral to the belly of the thong so will never come loose. As with all of my multi-tails, the tips are cut to points.

An 8 plait hand part, finished with a pineapple knot, completes the whip. Total length is around 3 feet, but the design allows it to be used in very restricted play spaces, where a similar length flogger would be tricky to use.

Although a number of whip makers produce similar whips with different names, the ones I make are not copies but my own design. They came about as a custom commission; and the first one made (pictured above left) received such positive comments from people who saw it (not least it's owner) that I decided to add them to my range.

Each cat of nine tails starts with a densely packed roo hide shot sack and plaited core; over which, there are two finely plaited bellies and a very smooth, neat, 16 plait overlay. Every layer is heavily reinforced to enable the whip to maintain maximum liveliness over time; even when regularly used for prolonged periods. The nine 4 plait tails are finished with crown and diamond knots, with pointed tassles around 6 inches long. These can be trimmed to suit your taste and throwing style. Total length, including the thong, is about 3 - 3.5 feet. 

As with all of the whips I make, two tone whips in stock colours are the same price as single colour ones.

The Mamba: This another English Whips Exclusive. It throws like a singletail, but strikes like a flogger. The leisurely roll-out and spread of impact allow a wider margin of error, and faster mastery, than most other whips. That makes it ideal if you like the look of snake and signal whips but are worried using them safely; or you don't want a whip that cracks. 

Experienced whip handlers will enjoy the mamba as well - lay on the tips for a sharp sting, or more of the lashes for greater thud. Once broken-in, wrapping becomes easy, sensuous and (nearly) risk-free. Varying your technique allows for prolonged, satisfying sessions for you and you play partner.

Available in 8, 12 or 16 plait kangaroo hide with a tightly packed shot sack, braided core, full - length braided belly and carefully fitted roo hide bolster. Strands are dropped late, if at all, to give the smoothest action possible. The number of lashes is typically 12 on the 8 plaits and more on the higher plait whips. Length is 3 foot plus approx 18 inches for the lashes.

  Flogger Key Ring

A tiny little 8 plait roo hide flogger of absolutely no practical value except as a subtle lifestyle statement or fun gift. It does make sure your keys are easier to find when groping around in your bag or pocket; and you won't ever get them muddled up with somebody else's!

I can usually slot these into my order schedule at short notice, so typical delivery time is 1-2 weeks.

These tiny floggers also make novel gifts for your wedding guests, or other special occasions; and may be the perfect impulse buy at the counter of your shop. Discounts apply for 10 or more of the same colour. For such orders, other colours than those listed are available but lead-in times are likely to be extended.
